i took a walk today. there were dragonboat races, they were just ending. a lot of lesbians and shirtless boys? these could be generalizations.
i think what little patience i had for thrift stores is waning. i tried to patronize one the other day and my futile attempts to sift through the endless racks of filmy used clothes left me exhausted and disappointed. i guess for the time being i will settle for so-called "vintage" stores that have already separated the wheat from the chaff for me as reflected in the 400% markup.
this city is dragging me down. i feel like everything is everywhere right now and i need some headspace. so. i am getting out for a few days. tomorrow is GAY BASH 2, a bbq at a friends' place to support their band (well worth supporting) and the next day i'll be boarding the train to take me back home. my youngest brother will be picking me up from the train station. because he drives by himself now? i'm not sure when this happened, exactly - i've been missing a lot.
